Comfortable clothing and shoes are a must, as beer festivals often involve a lot of walking and standing. No, outside alcohol is typically not allowed  at beer festivals. Some beer festivals are family-friendly, while others are strictly for adults. Check the festival’s website or contact the organizers to find out if children are allowed. While it’s tempting to stick to your favorite types of beer, attending a beer festival is a great opportunity to try new and different beers. Be adventurous and try something you’ve never had before.

These are traditional German costumes known as lederhosen. It was from Bavaria and designed for walking in snow areas so long pants did not get soaking wet and then cold. The Two Fisted Drinker is essentially two glasses of beer fuzed into one. In the middle of the two glasses is a hole where the beer can drain back and forth between the two glasses so that the beer won’t spill all over your face when you go to take a drink.
