I come from a family of teachers and was always surrounded by strong, positive role models in education. Although I began my academic path in business, I felt a strong calling to make a meaningful impact during the formative years of children’s lives. What I love most about this field is the opportunity to support children, guide educators, and work in partnership with families every single day. Mayfield Baswater is a family orientated centre made up of a tightknit community of educators, children, and their families. Our staff thrive and emphasis on building trusting, secure and reciprocal relationships.

For me, it's all about ensuring children and families are included and feel welcome in a centre that is culturally safe for them. Our daughter started at Kindercare Belmont in January 2021 at 17 months old. Right from the very first day, when the staff were dealing with my tears more than hers, I knew we had found the perfect daycare for our girl. She will leave Kindercare Belmont in August this year, once she turns 5 and heads off to school. Kindercare Belmont have absolutely done their job, as she is so ready for school, and is so prepared for it. Always friendly, ready for a chat, and legitimately know about my child and how she thrives.

We also have a separate area for the younger children to play at their own pace. This event is open to families with children aged 0–5 years, and we can’t wait to share this special morning with you. The Y acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia of the lands on which we live, work and have programs and services. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to Elders past, present and future.

With Child Care Subsidy changes coming in 2026, now’s the perfect time to explore what makes our centres so special. The children enjoy storytime with a member from the Croydon Library. They read stories in a group setting and discuss the public library.
They explore possibilities and take on feedback from others to inform their decision making. When children have opportunities to practice making choices and taking risks safely in supportive environments, they are better equipped to respond to challenges. Meticulously designed, our Bayswater centre provides a natural haven for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years atop the Mountain High Shopping Centre.  Our team of educators brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the classroom, ensuring your child receives the highest standard of care and education.
I hold a Certificate III and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and I’m proud of the experience I’ve gained so far in this rewarding sector. I love being part of each child’s learning journey and creating a home away from home where they feel safe, valued and supported. There’s nothing better than seeing a child’s face light up when they discover or achieve something new. My backgroundI began my journey as a Trainee educator supporting a local Community based in Emerald, which ignited my passion for early learning.

We operate  a range of playgroups for children aged birth to preschool age. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, Community Kids is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children. Our Family Support Team can also help you find more G8 early learning centres near you, with the same offerings at the Community Kids centre you are interested in that have immediate availability.
This is on schedule to be finalised by August 2024 in time for kindergarten in 2025. This breaks down to $166 per day for babies, $138 per day for toddlers and $166 per day for kindergarten. Many of our educators have been part of the Goodstart Bayswater North family for many years—some for over two decades. We’re also proud to support emerging educators and trainees, helping them grow in their careers while nurturing their passion for working with children.
