Somehow, I forgot to get the London refrigerator magnet as souvenir. I chose London B because I visited the London Eye, rode on the double-decker bus, and went on one of the sightseeing cruises of Thames River. I love my souvenir even though I waited 3 weeks to get it. It has a delightful rose fragrance with a clean and fresh liquor.
We have listed more shop and eat options in itinerary but we did not have time to explore. So bringing home a few bottles of a local Taiwanese beer isn’t a bad conversation starter either. There are few branches of Yang Potato Zenfa Original shops all over Taitung which only sells sweet potato chips. Even our hotel was selling them and it seemed to be popular with locals and tourists alike. The chips are glazed with sticky sugar making it a bit messy to eat. A local famous shop with delicious mochi, flavored peanut, sesame, red bean, green bean, black bean, etc.
The East Coast of Taiwan features many stunning natural scenic spots. Yet public transportation is not very convenient; and joining a tour would be a stress-free, time-efficient way to travel. Unless you have local resources , I highly recommend joining these tours on the East Coast for efficiency’s sake.
Most of time when we travel to Hualien we sure will try the Hualien Zeng's mochi, but this Taitung Chen's mochi are more tastiest then Zeng's. The mochi are fresh made, it only last for 24hrs, but after few hour especially summer day the mochi will become sticky and lost of flavor, finish it immediately rather keep it later or tomorrow are suggested. Corner of the shop also sell some gift pack such as Roselle syrup, aborigines rice wine, flsh floss, souvenir, etc. A night will also be spent in Taitung County in a hot-spring-and-spa hotel. 5NANTOU-TAICHUNG-KAOHSIUNG Head to the pier this morning, gently cruise on a boat over Sun Moon Lake and see the sights as you relax on its tranquil waters. We will have a stop at Maibitou (Cape Cat’s Nose) Park to enjoy the breeze from the ocean of the southernmost tip. This lighthouse is cylindrical shaped coloured in white and is also renowned as “the Light of East Asia” for its strong optical power of light that can reach 20 miles at most.
