Travelling to Taiwan

Travelling to Taiwan

There are often different musical events or street art performances here. Personally, I think it is a place to visit in... Hi all, does anyone have any tips on how to get used to driving in Taiwan? I know the cars are left hand drive and they drive on the right hand side of the road, as opposed to here. Good place to walk around if you like art sculptures.
I wanted to go there but had no time, i remember there being a public area and there's private rooms too i think. It's the main or most visited hot spring i guess in Taiwan since it's close to Taipei...there are others ones around the country in the mountains but not too sure. The nature side 剝皮辣椒 of Taipei was pretty impressive, too. I climbed a mountain (no idea what it's called), but it had those hot, sulphur vents from the ground (first time I'd ever seen that, couldn't get over how cool it was)... The fog was so intense and thick that day, that I was literally dripping with water.

Make the most of your last night in Taiwan at your leisure. If you book yourself in at one of our highly recommended accommodations, the experienced staff will make sure that your stay is a memorable one. The Papago International Resort and Marshmallow B&B  are worth checking out.
Surrounding sights include the National Museum of Prehistory, the Taitung Railway Art Village and the Fu An Gong. The Haishan Temple and Tiehuacun are also within reach. If you want to do some exploring, add a trip to Guanshan to your plan.
The only attraction we really enjoyed today at an admission fee of 450 NTD each was the National Museum of Marine Biology. This is more an aquarium than a museum and we both enjoyed the experience to the point that we spent a lot longer there than I had planned. In 1662, Koxinga, a loyalist of the Ming dynasty who  had lost control of mainland China in 1644, defeated the Dutch and established a base of operations on the island. His forces were  defeated by the Qing dynasty in 1683.

Restaurants and department stores accept credit cards. Will get an easy card on arrival and seperate tickets for HSR. Anyone sampled China Air in J on the new A350 yet?.
The shrine closed about half an hour ago and we take photos of it from the gate in front. It is unlikely we will be back but it causes thought about the engagements that  lead to the deaths of all these Taiwanese people. Knew that Japan had invaded  Taiwan but did not realise that it controlled Taiwan for 50 years from 1895 to 1945.

Most convenience stores (eg, 7-11) accept easy cards as payment. Carrefour hypermarket accepts easycard as payment. So does Maokong cable car. Many stores in foodcourts also accept the easycard including stores like Jason's in Taipei 101. It's possible but i'd rather spend at least a night in Jiufen so you are not so rushed.
If your schedule doesn’t allow you to have a full-day tour, then this half-day tour to Jiufen Village and the northeast coast of Taiwan is perfect for you. These comments apply to many  of the “attractions” we visited today. They appear to have been popular twenty years ago but have not been maintained and are now overgrown or in decline. Lilly reckoned the Dolong Temple once a landmark and with some beautiful features is now a mess and barely worth a visit.
You buy them for NT$100 and you can use a different machine to top them up. The top up machine isn't big on English but you should be able to work out how to top up your easycards. Easycards are really convenient for travelling on MRT and buses, including intercity buses and return).
